Make a Splash This Summer at GRIT! Introducing Our New Swimming Program!

We're thrilled to announce an exciting new addition to our summer camp program: swimming!

Partnering with the renowned NJCU Aquatics Department led by the experienced Head Coach, Tom Lee, we're offering a safe, structured, and fun way for campers of all skill levels to enjoy the water.

Why Swimming? A Wave of Benefits!

Swimming is more than just a fun activity to beat the summer heat. It offers a multitude of benefits for children, including:

  • Lifelong Skill: Learning to swim is a valuable life skill that promotes water safety and confidence around pools, lakes, and beaches.

  • Improved Fitness: Swimming is a fantastic full-body workout, building strength, endurance, and flexibility.

  • Stress Relief: The rhythmic motion of swimming is a great way to de-stress and unwind, promoting overall well-being.

  • Socialization: Swimming provides an opportunity for campers to bond with peers, learn teamwork through water games, and build friendships.

A Program for Every Camper

Our swimming program is designed to cater to all skill levels. Whether your child is a complete beginner or a seasoned swimmer, we have something for them:

  • Learn-to-Swim: Taught by certified NJCU instructors under Coach Lee's supervision, this program will introduce basic water skills, body positioning, and stroke development in a safe and supportive environment. Campers will be grouped by swim ability with advanced swimmers working on mastering all swim strokes.

  • Free Swim: For experienced campers, free swim periods will provide a chance to practice skills learned, have fun with friends, and enjoy refreshing dips in the pool. Novice swimmers will join them with safety gear to insure a fun, safe swimming experience.

Safety First

The safety of your child is our top priority. Our program boasts:

  • Certified Instructors: All instructors are certified and experienced in teaching swimming to children.

  • Lifeguard Supervision: Trained lifeguards will be present throughout all swim activities.

  • Small Class Sizes: Smaller groups ensure personalized attention and a comfortable learning environment.

Make a Splash This Summer!

With the addition of swimming, our summer camp offers an even wider range of activities for your child to explore.
